How You Can Help Baan Piranan

Needs

This project has been made possible entirely by your help, and by the
additional generosity of Occupational Therapist Piranan Singjai, who recently added a special wheelchair access care room and toilet to her home.   Khun Piranan, by the way, fully understands the disabled perspective as she recently adapted herself to permanent visual limitations resulting from a traffic accident. 

Baan Piranan is always in need of small size adult pampers; small, individual cartons of sesame seed soy milk, and low sugar content cookies and crackers.   Our major financial challenge, however, is to secure monthly operational funding for salaries and to prepare for the spring hot season by raising funds in advance to purchase a room air conditioner so that the children can sleep inside the house in an air-conditioned room during the hot season.

As our circle of supporters grows, Baan Piranan hopes to add a maximum of 3 additional severely disabled children suffering from cerebral palsy.  Unlike many other home care projects, we will not allow this facility to become overcrowded because we have already too often identified overcrowding as the main cause for loss of focus in terms of individual care and training.  Thank you for your support.  We couldn’t do this without you. 

Visits

Baan Piranan welcomes visits but please be kind enough to call in advance.  The facility is located in Khun Piranan’s private home in Moo Baan Chiang Mai View Mai, about 1 kilometer west of the Mae Kue market easily dentified by a 7/ll store).  Mae Kue market is located on the main paved road between Borsang and Doi Sakhet, about 4 kilometers from Borsang.  We have erected signs (with arrows) beginning at the Mae Kue market to help with directions.   Each blue and white sign includes a wheelchair symbol.   The telephone number for Baan Piranan is 085-7088711.\
